Recipe: Summer Snowballs 

Cool down from the summer heat with melon snowballs! Eating watermelons during the summer keeps your body hydrated and feeling cool.

 

The star ingredients are honey, yogurt, and watermelon or cantaloupe.

Ingredients 

  • ½ teaspoon honey syrup

  • A few mint leaves

  • 1 tablespoon vanilla yogurt (optional if you don’t like honey)

  • 1 small watermelon or cantaloupe (preferably seedless)

  • Small bag of coconut flakes (optional)

  • Melon baller 

 

Directions

  1. With the melon baller; press down, turn the baller around like you are forming a ball then gently scoop out a melon ball. 

  2. Drizzle with honey syrup or a dollop of vanilla yogurt. 

  3. Roll or sprinkle toasted coconut flakes.

  4. Eat with mint leaf 

 

How to make toasted coconut flakes: use a non-stick frying pan spread one bag of coconut flakes and toast until they turn light to dark brown. (no oil needed)
