Coqui the Chef (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects and uses personal information in order to provide its products and services. This privacy policy (this “Privacy Policy”) describes the information we collect, the purposes for which we use it, the parties with whom we may share it, and your choices with respect to such information. To the extent permitted by applicable law, your use of Coqui the Chef’s products and services, and the Site (as defined below), constitutes your acknowledgment and/or consent to the practices described in this Policy.

This Privacy Policy is subject to the Coqui the Chef Terms of Use (the “Terms”). Capitalized terms that are not defined in the Privacy Policy have the meaning given to them in the Terms.

  1. The information that we collect:

In the past 12 months, Coqui the Chef has collected personal information about you that you have provided to us, including when you sign up for an account on any of our Sites or through feedback, contact us forms, customer service phone calls, messages, emails, mail, or otherwise.

This may include your:

  • First and last name;
    • Email;
    • Phone number;
    • Mailing address;
    • Billing address;
    • Age/date of birth;
    • Unique identifiers such as passwords;
    • Payment card type; and
    • Last four digits of payment card.

 

A. When you use our products or services, or visit our Site.
This may include your:

  • Order and usage history;
  • Transaction information; and
  • Information automatically collected when you visit www.coquithechef.com or any other websites or applications published by Coqui the Chef (together, the “Site”) using your computer or mobile device, including your IP address or other device address or ID, web browser and/or device type, hardware and software settings and configurations, the web pages or sites that you visit just before or just after visiting the Site, the pages you view on the Site, your actions on the Site, and the dates and times that you visit, access, or use the Site.

This may also include information collected via one or more “cookies” when you visit our Site. Cookies are small text files that are stored on browsers or devices by websites, apps, online media, and advertisements. We use cookies and similar technologies for purposes such as remembering user preferences and settings, determining the popularity of content, delivering and measuring the effectiveness of advertising campaigns, and analyzing traffic to our Site. You may be able to decline our cookies through your browser settings; however, this may interfere with your ability to use our Site or certain features in our Site.

B. Information from third parties.

We may collect information about you from third parties, such as from social media platforms and business review websites, consistent with your settings on such services, and from other third-party sources that are lawfully entitled to share your data with us. The decision to share information on public social media profiles and to public review forums, message boards, chat areas, or other public sites is solely yours and you are solely responsible for any such information you choose to post on or through the Sites. We may use and may share this information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, provided that you first provide your consent as required by law.

II. How we use the information we collect:

Coqui the Chef uses the personal information that we collect for the following purposes:

a. To provide our products and services.

For example, we use personal information to:

  • Process orders;
  • Process payments;
  • Generate and send you receipts;
  • Enable deliveries;
  • Perform necessary operations to maintain our services, including to troubleshoot software bugs and operational problems; to conduct data analysis, testing, and research; and to monitor and analyze usage and activity trends; and
  • Communicate with you regarding our products and services, and/or your account.

b. Customer support

Coqui the Chef uses the information we collect to provide customer support, which may include investigating and responding to complaints.

c. Marketing

Coqui the Chef may use personal information to market our services to our users. This includes sending users communications about our products services, features, promotions, updates, and events. We may do so through various methods, including email, text messages, social media, and ads on third-party platforms.

d. Legal proceedings and requirements

We may use personal information to investigate or address claims or disputes relating to use of Coqui the Chef’s services, to satisfy requirements under applicable laws, regulations, or operating licenses or agreements, or pursuant to legal process or governmental request, including from law enforcement.

III. When we share your information

Coqui the Chef may also share your information if we believe it is required by applicable law, regulation, operating license or agreement, legal process or government request, or where the disclosure is otherwise appropriate due to safety or similar concerns. Coqui the Chef may also share your information with others in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of Coqui the Chef assets, consolidation or restructuring, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by or into another Company, including in connection with bankruptcy or similar proceedings.
  • With your consent. We may otherwise share your personal information with your consent.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, or share your personal information with third parties for purposes of targeted advertising.

IV. Additional information

a. Children

Our website is not intended for use by or directed towards, and we do not seek to or knowingly collect personal information from or about, children under the age of 13. If you believe that we have collected personal information from or about a child under the age of 13, please contact us at coquithechef[at]gmail.com and we will delete such information.

b. U.S. State Privacy Rights

Depending on the jurisdiction in which you live, you may have the below rights subject to the exceptions allowed by law, including under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020, the Colorado Privacy Act, the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, the Utah Consumer Privacy Act, and Connecticut’s Act Concerning Personal Data Privacy and Online Monitoring. You may only make a verifiable consumer request for access to your personal information to us twice within a 12-month period, free of charge. You also may request a list of the third parties to whom we have disclosed your personal information (if any), as well as the type of personal information disclosed to those parties.

  • Right to access/know. You have the right to access and know the categories and specific pieces of personal data Zoom has collected, the categories of sources from which the personal data is collected, the business purpose(s) for collecting the personal data, and the categories of third parties with whom Zoom has shared personal data.
  • Right to correct. You may correct any incomplete or inaccurate personal information about you that we process.
  • Right to delete. You may delete any personal information about you that we process, subject to certain circumstances.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Coqui the Chef does not sell or share your personal information, and therefore does not, and is not required to, provide this option.

 

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

We will first acknowledge receipt of your request within 10 business days and then provide a substantive response within 45 calendar days after its receipt. If we require more time (up to 90 days or the permitted timeframe), we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing. If you are a Virginia, Colorado, or Connecticut resident and we deny your request, you may appeal our decision by emailing your request to coquithechef[at]gmail.com, or call us at (347) 692-8102.

Within 45 calendar days of receipt of an appeal, we will inform you in writing of any action taken or not taken in response to the appeal, including a written explanation of the reasons for the decision.

Only you or an authorized agent (as described below) may make a verifiable consumer request related to your personal information.

  • How to Authorize an Agent. You may designate an authorized agent to submit your verified consumer request on your behalf, only if the authorized agent has your written permission to do so and you have taken steps to verify your identity directly with us.
  • How We Verify Your Request. We will only use the personal information provided in the context of your request to verify your identity or the authority of your authorized agent to make the request. Depending on how you interact with us, we may require that you provide at least two pieces of personal information, such as your name, email address, or other information that we already have in our possession. We will verify your request by comparing the information you provide to information already in our possession to minimize the risk of fraud.

c. Opt-out from communications

As explained above, we may use your email address or other personal information send you promotional materials. You can opt-out of receiving promotional communications by following unsubscribe links provided in the messages or by contacting us directly at coquithechef[at]gmail.com.

d. Data retention

We retain information for as long as it is reasonably necessary to provide our products and services, and for other purposes including to comply with the law, prevent fraud, collect any fees owed, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigation, or enforce our Terms or other agreements.

e. California’s Shine the Light Law

California’s “Shine the Light” law (California Civil Code Section 1798.83) permits California residents to request, and obtain from us, annually and free of charge, information about the disclosure (if any) of their personal data to third parties for such third parties’ direct marketing purposes in the previous calendar year. We do not share personal data with third parties for such purposes.

f. Visitors from Outside the United States

Coqui the Chef operates in the United States, and any personal information collected pursuant to this Privacy Policy may be accessed from and/or stored by Company, or those acting on Company’s behalf, in the United States. If you use Coqui the Chef’s products and services from outside the United States, you acknowledge that your personal information may be transferred to or accessed from the United States, and consent to such transfer or access.

We may update or make other changes to this Privacy Policy from time to time. To the extent permitted under applicable law, we will understand your use of our Site, products or services after an update to this Privacy Policy to reflect your consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
